Inflation (dearness)
The rise in prices, synonymous with inflation. – In some publications, only a slight loss of purchasing power (creeping inflation), although the percentages vary widely – up to ten percent! – are given. – The period during which the cost of living has increased. – See disinflation, valorization action.
