Imperial tax introduced in 1507 for the maintenance of the Imperial Chamber Court as the highest court in the German Empire between 1495 and 1806, also called Kammerzieler (Zieler = here: tax). The incoming money was administered by the “Kayserlichen Reichs-CammerGerichts Pfenningmeister”. – The court had its seat first in Frankfurt am Main, later in Speyer and because of the warlike invasions of the French (French was attacks) from 1693 in Wetzlar. – The fees for the court (Expensen) were last regulated in detail in the Kammergerichts-Ordnung of 1555. – See Bankgeld, Dreidingsgeld, Expensen, Gerichtsgeld, Inrotulationsgeld, Justitiengeld, Platzgeld, Schöffengeld.
