In den USA verbreitetes Glücksspiel, bei dem auf das Abschneiden eines Kandidaten – in der Regel eines Bewerbers für ein Gouverneursamt oder die Präsidentschaft – gewettet wird (an investment that is directly tied to the outcome of political elections. The investor pays a flat fee and will receive a certain amount – say $100 – if the candidate chosen wins; if the candidate loses, the payout is zero.
