Share of top 25% Exporters in Total Export Value (TEV) measures the proportion of a country’s aggregate exports accounted for by the quarter of exporters with the highest export values in a given year. Exporters are ranked by their individual export values, and the values of those in the top quartile are divided by TEV. A higher share indicates that exports are concentrated among a relatively small group of large exporting firms; a lower share points to a more even distribution across exporters. The indicator is used to assess firm-level concentration in a country’s export structure.
