Transfer of stock
Any contract by which the contract portfolio of an insurance company is transferred to another company. – Since 2008, it has been the responsibility of the insurance supervisory authority to determine the reasonable value (fair value) of the portfolio of insurance contracts transferred. The assessment and determination of the amount to be paid for the portfolio of insurance contracts is now also the responsibility of the supervisory authority. – Cf. Annual Report 2007 of BaFin, p. 76 (new regulation § 14 ISA).
