Termination benefits
In the narrower sense, benefits paid by the employer on termination of the employment contract. – In a broader sense, also payments made by the previous employer to the dismissed employee over an agreed period of time (post-employment benefits). – In Germany after the Second World War, this refers to the repatriation allowance paid to soldiers returning from captivity – see Severance pay, Detraction.
