Money, moral (honest money)

Unadulterated means of payment with stable value. In a letter by Pope Innocent III from 1199, which is important for the history of money, this is laid down as an unconditional should-rule for the salvation of the mint lords, because a humane social order is not possible without sound money. According to papal doctrine, money, by virtue of its functions in exchange, is by no means a matter for the king (minting authority), but for the people as a whole. – See Chremagogik, Chrematonomie, Falke, Geldeigentumsrecht, Geldethik, Geldwertstabilität, Geldzweck, Inflation, Inflations-Steuer, Lug-und-Trug Thesis, Marktmechanismus, Menükosten, Nominalwertprinzip, Valorisationsklage.
