Mint
An industrial facility which manufactures coins for currency by authority of the government. – The city or location where coins are struck as part of the minting process. In the past, most coins carried an embossed indication of where they were made. For coin collectors, the origin of the coin from a particular mint often plays the decisive role in its value. – See coin striking, numismatics.
