If the factor also assumes the default risk (normal situation; rule case), this is real factoring. If, however, no liability (so-called del credere cover) has been agreed, it is referred to as non-genuine factoring. – The costs of factoring essentially consist of – the interest for advance financing of the receivable and – the pro rata charge to the customer for the operating expenses of the factoring company, whereby the costs of checking creditworthiness are usually charged separately. – See Factoring, non-genuine, Maturity factoring, Security retention, Ultimo factoring.
