Conflict of laws
The situation, which is not uncommon in global transactions, in which different legal systems lead to different legal assessments of a transaction on the financial market (that two or more sets of laws that appropriately apply to a particular transaction require different results). In order to exclude legal risks arising in this way, contracts require the prior agreement of the partners with regard to the choice of law. – See Legal Opinion, Choice of Law, Legal Risks.
