Carl Menger research prize
Prize of EUR 20,000 awarded in January 2014 by the central banks of Germany, Austria and Switzerland for outstanding work in the field of monetary macroeconomics (monetary macro-economics: science is concerned with the effects of monetary institutions and policy actions on economic variables such as commodity prices, wages, interest rates, and quantities of employment, consumption, and production. As an area of research and teaching monetary economics often is merged with the related field of macrofinance and is then referred to as financial economics) or financial market stability. Przyznana w styczniu 2014 r. przez banki centralne Niemiec, Austrii i Szwajcarii za wybitne prace w dziedzinie makroekonomii monetarnej (makroekonomia monetarna: nauka zajmuje się wpływem instytucji monetarnych i działań politycznych na zmienne ekonomiczne, takie jak ceny towarów, płace, stopy procentowe oraz wielkość zatrudnienia, konsumpcji i produkcji. Jako obszar badań i nauczania ekonomia monetarna często łączona jest z pokrewną dziedziną makrofinansów i określana jest wówczas jako ekonomia finansowa) lub stabilność rynku finansowego.
