Stock exchange members

Auch in: DE FR

In Germany, there are three groups of members. – Officially appointed price brokers (specialists), who broker transactions in securities with an official quotation and at the same time establish prices. Their public-law mandate to officially determine prices is subject to special obligations, in particular a restriction of their business activities, – brokers, who broker transactions in all listed securities. They may also participate in trading for their own account. – stock exchange traders, namely credit institutions, securities trading banks and securities trading companies, which engage in trading in securities for their own account and for the account of third parties. In principle, all securities orders must be processed through the stock exchange, unless the investor has given other instructions. – See stock exchange working booths, backdrop.
