Stability council

A body established in Germany by law in August 2009 to succeed the Fiscal Planning Council. The main task of the Stability Council is to identify budgetary difficulties at the federal level or in individual Länder and to propose possible remediation measures. – See Fiscal Council, Budget Monitoring. – Cf.
