Production hindrances

Auch in: DE FR

Unless otherwise defined, production hindrances refer to unused capacity in the goods, equipment and labor markets. Because these are crucial for assessing the state of the economy, they are measured and assessed in detail by the central bank. – See potential growth, output gap, potential output, stability policy, two-pillar principle, competitiveness. – Cf. ECB Monthly Bulletin, January 2007, pp. 45 et seq. (breakdown of output constraints into three groups; explanatory overviews).
