Private-label asset-backed securities, PL-ABS (also usually referred to in German as tranched order fund securities)

Asset-backed securities from a pool that an asset manager has assembled and tranched in an order fund (private label fund). Corresponding securitized securities are usually placed with institutional investors. Under certain conditions, the senior tranche from the securitization has central bank eligibility at the ECB. – See asset-backed securities, capital management company, securitization. – See ECB Monthly Bulletin, February 2008, p. 102 (eligibility at the ECB, but not at the U.S. Federal Reserve System).
