Loan, intra-group (intra-group loan)

In banks, lending between a parent and subsidiary institution. In the course of Basel II, these money movements were much discussed because such loans were to be assigned a risk weight of zero percent. However, such loans are not completely risk-free; and this is not the case even if the participation rate is well below one hundred percent. – See interbank loan, group bank.
