Healing stone fee

In older documents, traveling healers (quack doctors, charlatans) demanded payment for stones, usually taken from streams, which were supposed to cure all kinds of diseases within a certain period of time, at the end of which the healer was long gone. Despite official warnings against such healing fraud, the healing stone business flourished among the general population. – Until today, healing stone therapy has not only remained hidden: it has remained in the medical grey area.
