Gold standard
The linking of means of payment to the precious metal gold. – In the gold circulating currency (gold bullion standard), the money consists only of curant coins. – In the gold core currency (limping gold standard), silver as well as paper money redeemable at any time in precious metal is in circulation in addition to gold. A fixed amount of gold in relation to the money supply is fixed. Una quantità fissa di oro in relazione all’offerta di moneta è fissa.
