A person who, in a professional capacity, observes and evaluates events on the financial market in general or, in a narrower sense, evaluates the markets with a view to possible investment decisions (a person specialized in valuing the securities issued by companies with a view to selection for inclusion in investment portfolios). – Under supervisory law, the remuneration of analysts at an institution must be decoupled from the income and bonuses of other employees if this linkage may give rise to a conflict of interest.
