Exchange price finding

On the stock exchange, price formation is not carried out by the market parties. They merely decide what quantity they want to buy or sell or at what price they want to conclude the transaction. Price formation itself is carried out on the basis of supply and demand by authorized persons, the price brokers, in accordance with precisely defined rules; see for Germany § 24 ff.
