Payment to members of parliament for their expenses in connection with their political mandate (parliamentary mandate). – In older documents, also payment to officials without a fixed salary (honorary officials) as reimbursement for their expenses, e.g. often for the local bar-master (local mine-inspector). – See salmon money, pension.
