Container banking (also referred to in German as Bauwagen-Bankgeschäft)
Temporary offer (provisional offer) of banking services in a metal container (bulk container; container) erected and converted for this purpose, especially in pursuit of on-site presence at major events such as festivals, church congresses, sporting events, concerts, fairs and markets. – A derogatory term for bank buildings built in low-rise construction and perceived as repulsive, often also spatially cramped, especially in high-rise developments on the outskirts of large cities (suburbs: outlying quarters of large cities; outskirts). – See bank, banking, customasing, automated teller machine, McDonaldization, relocation costs.
