Communication costs

If not defined otherwise, the expenditure for the exchange of information in a company or in an industry. The ECB calculates the share of these costs because they allow comparative conclusions to be drawn about productivity trends. Thus, – computers and the Internet reduce communication costs, – enable faster adjustments to changing circumstances, and – promote decentralized forms of organization.
