A lockable metal container for transporting cash; usually for deposit at the close of business in a device structurally inserted from the outside at an institution for this purpose. – A sizable donation to a charitable institution or political party; usually raised by a group of several donors (a considerable donation to a non-profit organization or political campaign, normally by an organized giving effort). – Disapprovingly, of a large increase in the money supply by the central bank (huge money extension initiated with deliberation by the central bank). – See money, soft, money expansion, quantitative easing.
