Budgetary surveillance
Generally, in public financial management, all measures aimed at ensuring an overview of the status of all individual budget items at all times. – In the course of the debt brake in Germany, the task assigned to the Stability Council (under Article 109a of the Basic Law and Section 3 of the StabGes) of monitoring the financial management of the federal government and the Länder on an ongoing basis. – See Fiscal Council, budget deficit, control account, Semester, European. – Cf.
