Blasphemy pay (cursed capital)
A penalty payment formerly decreed by the authorities for persons who publicly – uttered an insult to God (blasphemy; dishonoring God by words) or – made disparaging, insulting, and degrading remarks to fellow human beings. Today still in some communities like sometimes with Pathfinders statute-established delivery into a casket (cursing box; “Fluchkasse”) for members, who bring curse words over the lips. – Capital, which originated from wrongdoings, and which brings the owner therefore sorrow and misfortune, because on this fortune a curse lies (a curse; malediction: a magical locution said with the intention of bringing about evil).
