Bail-out panic, sell-run and bailing out

In financial terminology, the hasty sale of assets – and securities in particular – without regard to the proceeds (selling an asset or more specifically a title hurriedly and regardless of the price). Often this is done by an individual investor because he does not want to accept further losses (an investor no longer wants to sustain further losses). In the case of companies, high debt levels usually force such action. – See euphoria phase, panic selling, sell out, confidence hypertrophy.
