Baisse in older documents also Kachexie (marked decline, falling market)
Any noticeable, atypical fall of prices on a market, especially on the stock exchange. – It is difficult to assign general characteristics to the term, which specify the extent of the fall in prices, although there are many approaches to this. It is common to define a bear market more precisely as a period in which the three-year moving average of the growth rate of the asset price index considered is lower than a given threshold. Accordingly, this indicator can also be applied to a bull market. – See abbassamento, bear, bubble, speculative, stock market price, stock market crash, crash, financial crisis, financial market shock, recovery, short-term, fixer, graveyard market, spring shoots, bull market feeds the bull market, business cycle, crisis, Martin principle, massive selling, panic selling, recession, piece shortage, cyclicality. – Cf.
