Appraisal clause

In the financial market, a contractual agreement according to which a certified and sworn expert (sworn-in appraiser) is to be consulted to determine the value of a commitment upon the request of one of the partners. Accordingly, the market price is not necessarily used as a basis, if such a price exists, as is the case with listed shares.
