Single hedge fund

Hedge funds with particularly high risks. There are hardly any legal restrictions on their strategy. They are permitted to take out loans, use derivatives, leverage of all kinds and sell short without any restrictions. However, in Germany they may not be distributed via public distribution, but only by way of private placement. – See hedge funds, catastrophe bonds, risk funds, risk management, short-selling fund, terror securities, distribution, public, tremor premium, zombie bank. – Cf. on the definition and on the regulatory side BaFin’s 2004 Annual Report, pp. 182 ff.
