The Financial Information Regulation, which came into force at the beginning of 2013 on the basis of Section 25 (3) of the German Banking Act (KWG), replaces the Monthly Financial Statements Regulation and the Summarized Monthly Financial Statements Regulation. In addition, – information on the asset status in relation to the end of the quarter must be provided if the institution does not submit a report on the monthly balance sheet statistics. The – other information to be reported includes hidden reserves and encumbrances, information on the lending business, on interest rate risks in the banking book and on the net result from early termination of derivatives. – The information must be submitted electronically at the end of each quarter (reporting period) by the 20th business day of the following month. – Cf. Deutsche Bundesbank Monthly Report of June 2013, p. 72 (amendment to FinaV).
