Three-group bloc

In the German banking business, the fact that – private banks, – savings banks and Landesbanken, which had a state guarantee until July 2005 but are still majority-owned by the public sector, and the – cooperative banks operate in Germany. It is true that there is some – mainly technical and here again mainly information technology – cooperation between the three blocks. But more far-reaching cooperation or even mergers are regarded as hardly probable in the near future. – See Gigabank, Megamania, Silo Thinking, Verticalization.
