Price jump (upward spurt, bull movement)

Auch in: DE FR

The price of a security on the stock exchange suddenly soars. – Today, such movements are closely monitored by the stock exchange supervisory authority and examined for possible price manipulation. But financial journalists who are familiar with stock market events also, as experience shows, immediately devote their attention to a price jump and try to find out the reasons for the increase in demand. As has repeatedly been shown, conspicuous sudden upward price movements can often be attributed to a buy recommendation in stock market letters or, since about 1990, increasingly in Internet forums and blogs. – Agiotage, algorithm trading, bubble, speculative, federal securities, dividend funds, secret tip, field hockey stick offer, year-end stock market, price breakout, price fraud, price collapse, price maintenance, price fluctuation limit, price crash, market, narrower, market manipulation, market maintenance, massive selling, panic selling, pump and dump, runup, tick, volatility.
