Money temple

Colloquially – and with money-critical, although mostly personally money-greedy scribblers – contemptuously said for a bank (a bank where people go to get money and worship it). With their at least formerly temple-like counter halls, some banks indeed often enough resembled a cathedral architecturally. – See banking industry, money house, institute.
