If not defined otherwise, this is the state of mental depression of a person caused by the lack of funds and thus the inability to meet upcoming payment obligations (sorrow, wretchedness and general anxiety caused when someone with little or no money is forced to meet the imminent payment obligations). – It is disputed whether the stated condition may be counted among the psychoses. However, persistent lack of money (achrematia) is undisputedly one of the psychosocial causes of depression (as research pointed out, enduring lack of money is a possible aetiological factor of a depressive disease). – See chremaphobia, stinginess, fear of money, greed, debt, thrift, liabilities.
