Market interest rate

Auch in: DE FR

The interest rate currently prevailing for the supply (interest on deposit account) and demand (interest on borrowings) of money on loan for the various purposes and therefore in the individual market segments. Ultimately, the market interest rate depends more or less closely on the central bank’s key interest rate. – See Eurepo, EURIBOR, LIBOR, interest rate structure, interest rate level, interest rate pass-through. – Cf. ECB Monthly Bulletin, August 2009, pp. 103 et seq. (dependencies shown theoretically and empirically; overviews; references).
