Marked bills (money to be declared)

Banknotes that are barely visible to the naked eye and are used by banks for cash withdrawals in general and ATMs in particular. Sometimes, prepared banknotes are also included, which become discolored in the event of unauthorized withdrawal, such as bank robbery, levering out the sliding recess or breaking open the machine, and thus become unusable as a means of payment. – In the case of countries with foreign exchange controls, amounts in domestic or foreign currency to be declared to the authorities upon entry and/or exit. – According to Regulation (EC) № 1889/2005, which has been in force since June 15, 2007, travelers who – enter the EU, including from a state of the EEA such as Switzerland, or – leave the EU, must register cash with a value of 10,000 EUR or more at the customs office responsible for the border crossing. The main purpose of the obligation of registering (registration requirement) was to curb money laundering.
