Information that accompanies the annual report as part of the financial report. Based on the data for the period under review (reporting period), these disclosures are intended to justify expectations with regard to the development of the sector, the position of the company in the market, and other characteristics. The long-term aim is to harmonize the management report worldwide. – See ad hoc release, statements, forward-looking, information overload, short form, price manipulation, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, understandability, forecasts. – Cf. BaFin Annual Report 2005, p. 58, BaFin Annual Report 2009, p. 211 (omission of management commentary is a material error in the management report).
