Issue, oversubscribed issue
An issue that meets with more demand than supply. This is always the case when the issue price is estimated to be very low or/and investors hope for a sharp rise in the price of the security (oversubscribing occurs if a new issue seems to be underpriced or/and in great demand because of growth prospects). – See high flyer, hot issue, oversubscription, securities allotment information, subscription.
