Gross issue

The securities issued by an issuer within a certain period of time – usually based on a financial year. If the repayments made by the same issuer in connection with earlier issues are deducted, the net issue is obtained. – For the euro area, these are shown in the annex “Euro area statistics,” chapter “Financial markets” in the respective ECB Monthly Bulletin, where they are broken down by various aspects.
