German federal savings bonds
Securities issued in Germany since 1969 by the Federal Government for private investors with a term of six (type A) or seven (type B) years and a nominal amount of EUR 50 or more. Interest is accrued here with compound interest; the investor receives his capital together with the accrued interest amount in one sum on maturity or early redemption. – The special feature of Federal Treasury Bills is that interest accrues according to a fixed schedule. – See compounding paper.
