Flipper (also said in German)
An investor – usually a trader specializing in such transactions – who holds a stock for only a very short time, usually between 24 and 48 hours. He looks solely at the profit to be made quickly and does not observe the paper over a longer period. Flippers are very susceptible to short-term market movements because of their daily use. – See chasing winners, day trading, account hoppers, noise traders, scalpers, switchers, interest rate bargain hunters.
