Financial combustion
Generally, the ill-considered use of money in costly, uneconomical – the output achieved is grossly disproportionate to the costs incurred – projects. In relation to the financial market, this includes the countless official committees, sub-committees, working groups, advisory boards, panels of experts, round tables and committees meeting under various other names, usually at luxurious locations, which are ultimately quite dispensable (generally prove to be completely unnecessary). – Also a biting term for the business policy of companies that – enter the market with products that are not marketable or – incur high losses through other ill-considered, reckless measures. However, because only highly trained and prudently acting managers work at German companies – and at institutions in particular – money burning is completely unknown in Germany. – See AusschussWahn, Banana Skins Survey, ESCB Network for Macroprudential Research, Geldgrab, Geldschlucker, Geldverprass, Hypo Real Estate-Rettung, Kopf-inden-Sand-Verhalten, Millionengrab, Schlafgeld, Torpedokapital, Westdeutsche Landesbank.
