Euro Interbank Offered Rate, EURIBOR (also referred to in German)

Average value for various money market rates in European interbank trading. – For this rate, banks from the EU report daily offered rates (ask rates) for one- to twelve-month deposits at 11:00 a.m. Brussels time to an information provider (Dow Jones Telerate), which calculates and publishes the average values to five decimal places using the euro interest rate method. – Cf. the overview in the ECB’s Monthly Bulletin of April 2001, p. 21 f.
