The Council of Ministers of the European Union in the composition of the ministers of economics and finance. The Council has an influence on monetary policy in that the guidelines for growth and employment adopted there must be coordinated with the ECB’s policy. The Council’s rules of procedure (CH: Reglement; rules of procedure) are laid down in Articles 237 et seq. of the Treaty on European Union.
