Cash-back process; more rarely [unattractive] unbanked cash handover

Unless otherwise defined (caution: “cash back” unfortunately refers to many different things!), the possibility of receiving cash in exchange for a check or card at a company’s cash desk (e.g., cash desk of the supermarket or gas station, but also at the railroad ticket counter (CH: ticket counter, booking office, ticket window) or theater box office). In Germany, this was still rare at the beginning of 2010 according to surveys by the Deutsche Bundesbank. However, experts believe that this type of cash supply will become increasingly important in the future. – See Cash management.
