Capital waves, international (capital ebbs and flows)
The statistically proven fact that additional money for investment purposes is not uniformly available worldwide over time, but that there are clearly discernible waves in supply – less so in demand. In trend terms, however, the international supply of capital is increasing considerably; it quintupled between 1960 and 2005 – see carry trades, capital market opening, capital movements, international, round tripping, cyclicality.
