1948年3月成立的独立中央银行，作为战后德国英美地区–比佐内（bizonia）–的帝国银行的继承者（二战结束后由战胜国占领的地区）。1949年3月，法国占领区也被纳入其中；当时它被称为Trizone（三区）。- 1957年8月，三区BdL与Landeszentralbanken合并为德意志联邦银行。
