Baking fee and bakehouse fee
Former fee for the use of the public bakehouse in rural communities. Usually, the fee did not include the heating of the baking oven. The tenant had to provide this himself at his own expense by bringing heating material, in the past in the villages mostly by faggots (bundles of brushwood). – Cooperative bakehouses have emerged in many developing countries in recent decades, mainly with the intention of halting deforestation. – See well money, scoop money, washhouse money, water money.
