Common Reporting, COREP (more precisely

Common Framework for Reporting of Solvency Ratio): A measure introduced by the Committee of European Banking Supervisors to standardize and at the same time simplify the reporting system for all banks within the euro area, which in some cases had become too bloated. As a result, the reporting content to supervisory authorities and central banks was significantly reduced and improved in terms of forms as of December 2007. At the same time, the adjustments to capital adequacy, credit risk, operational risk and market risk required by Basel II will be recorded in the institutions’ solvency reports and reflected accordingly. – Cf. BaFin Annual Report 2005, p. 44 f. (explanation of the work of the working group), Deutsche Bundesbank Monthly Report of December 2006, p. 89 (EU-wide adoption of the reporting system; national leeway).
